Switchfoot: “With the darkness comes the light”

(L-R)Tim Foreman, Drew Shirley, Jerome Fontamillas, Jon Foreman, Chad Butler

We talk on the phone to Jerome Fontamillas, guitarist for Switchfoot, about the band’s new album “Vice Verses.” Jerome states the album’s theme is “the polarity of life. With the darkness comes the light, you know. You’ll have the good days, you’ll have the bad days. So you just go with it.” We ask Jerome if he has any vices, and if there’s ever tension amongst his bandmates. We also discuss a day in his life on tour, the band’s involvement with TWLOHA and long standing relationship with Jamie Tworkowski. We also ask for advice for new musicians who want to pursue a career in the industry but lack moral support from their family or friends. Click for interview!
