The 2012 Orange County Music Awards are coming. Nominees in 21 categories have been chosen!

Young the Giant nominated for 6 awards.

The OC Music Awards will be held March 3, 2012, at the City National Grove of Anaheim.

Here is a partial list of nominees. Still to be announced: the nominees for the OC Impact and Lifetime Achievement awards, which will be announced on February 1, the nominees for Best Live Band and Best Live Acoustic Showcase Series finalists, which will be announced after February 15, and the People’s Choice Award nominees which will be announced on Monday, February 27.

On Tuesday, January 3, the 2012 the OMCA Showcase Series began at Costa Mesa’s Detroit Bar launching 7 weeks of free showcases at various venues across Orange County.  Local artists will compete for the titles of Best Live Band or Best Live Acoustic.
