CISCO ADLER, THE KING OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA SUMMER JAMS, RELEASES SIX-SONG EP, MAHALO, ON JULY 16
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Los Angeles, CA, July 15, 2013 – Malibu-based singer/songwriter/producer Cisco Adler is set to digitally release his second EP, Mahalo, featuring six summer jams, on July 16 through his indie label, Bananabeat Records.
“Mahalo is a thank you to everyone for supporting me on this journey I have been on,” explains Adler. “I finally feel like I am honing in on the sound with every project, and this is a perfect example of where I am in my life at the moment.”
Produced and engineered by Adler, the Mahalo EP is an extension of his solo debut album, Aloha, released last year, featuring his signature summer sound that blends pop, rock, reggae, and hip-hop with a laid-back summer – and post-summer afterglow – island vibe. Available as an addition to the new EP is a 19-page lyric book featuring Adler’s original art, inspired by the songs on the Aloha, and lyrics for each Mahalo EP track, which is available through the label store athttp://bit.ly/10S10HW. “I am always looking for different ways to present the art form,” says Adler. “When you read the lyrics you get a little closer to the nucleus of the thought.”
The six tracks easily flow into one another by keeping things straightforward with lead track “Love You I Do,” which Adler describes as being about “the little things in life and expressing your love for someone in simplest terms.” Up next is summer party song “Head Ringin’ Like A Telephone,” which Adler previewed early through his social media sites receiving over 300,000 streams. “Shangri La” explains how “a woman is a treasure” and that “love is the most powerful drug and you can spend a lifetime seeking it out,” while he describes “Free Tree” as “a protest song,” while “Motorbike,” featuring Reeves from Aer, is about “a girl making you crazy and the things that run through your mind all day when you catch a love buzz.” Last is love anthem “There For You,” featuring Huey Mack, in which Adler sings, “no matter what, I will always be there,” a dedication to his wife and son on the way.
Since the release of Aloha, Adler hit the road for over 40 dates as main support for Iration and The Expendibles, a short Northeast support run with Aer, and a co-headline run with Mod Sun. He also dropped a six-song EP with Tayyib Ali calledOne Way, with the first two singles producing over 1 million plays to date, released a remix of “Classic,” from his recent solo album, Aloha, featuring none other than Boston hip-hop impresario Sammy Adams, and most recently produced Huey Mack’s new EP.
